This is the first biggie of the year. Saturday 10th November at Huntly and Te Rapa PlaceMakers Speedway will be the Fireworks Spectacular meeting plus with the added bonus of this meeting Triple Points for all the classes racing on the night. This season we have again upped the ante on the fireworks show and will be the Best Fireworks show in speedway and again. The show will be to music with songs like Sandstorm, I hear the THUNDER and the finale song THUNDERSTRUCK by AC / DC. Several different types of Star shells and they are BIG shells to thunder the night sky. Plus an awesome thunderous infield show to compliment the outfield show. This is a great night out for all the families. Be early to the stadium with gates opening at 3pm and racing starting at 7pm.
Same venue a week later Saturday 17th November is the Stock Car and Super Stock Teams Invitation. Now its time for the teams racing with no prisoners taken as this is club on club and team on team.6 stock car teams ( defending stockcar teams champs Stratford Stormers), Huntly (Waikato Raiders), Auckland (Alleycats), Rotorua (Rascals), Meeanee Maulers and Wellington (Young Guns). It’s a long time since Wellington was here, maybe haven’t been to Huntly before. Previous Wellington teams have held the New Zealand Stockcar teams title for years. So good luck to Wellington. But the rest of the teams are TOUGH and on the night luck goes a long way towards winning a race and overall winner. Waikato have never won the teams and maybe its Waikato`s turn this year.
Plus on the same night will be Superstock teams racing. Its again been a long time since Superstock teams racing at Huntly and may it continue after this weekend. 4 teams have confirmed being Huntly (Waikato Wanderers) Baypark, Rotorua and Stratford. Superstocks are the bigger brother of Stock Cars, but the hits are still hard in either class and maybe the only difference being flash V8 motors. Each team should have 2 teams races on the night. If you haven’t been to teams racing well its time to come to Huntly Speedway for another night of great racing. Added to this night will be the Waikato Super Saloon champs plus the Kevin Bates memorial and another night for the Super Saloons racing before the New Zealand Super`s at Huntly in January 2019. NOTE gates will open at 3PM and RACING will start at 6PM for this big show.
